Why Quantum Profile Systems Limited (Quantum) will operate Its own Product Information product database
Quantum is committed to maintaining the highest standards in product information, marketing, and transparency. Whilste the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) aims to improve industry standards through independent assessment and ongoing registration, Quantum has determined that operating its own Product Information Database (QPID) is the most effective approach to ensuring clear, accurate, and up-to-date product information on its products. .
Maintaining Full Control Over Product Information
One of the key concerns with CCPI registration is the relinquishment of control over how product information is assessed and maintained. By running its own QPID, Quantum ensures that all product details remain transparent, accessible, and regularly updated without relying on an external third-party assessment. This approach guarantees that clients and specifiers have direct access to product data from the manufacturer without the potential for delays or discrepancies introduced by an intermediary system.
Ensuring a More Agile and Responsive System
QPID allows Quantum to swiftly address any changes in product specifications, regulatory updates, or market requirements. The external CCPI framework requires ongoing registration and assessment, which may introduce inefficiencies when timely updates are needed. By managing its own QPID system, Quantum can implement real-time updates, ensuring that clients and specifiers receive the most current product information without unnecessary delays.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement
While the CCPI encourages continuous improvement through ongoing registration, Quantum already adheres to stringent internal protocols through QPID that surpass standard requirements. With a dedicated in-house team, the company continuously reviews and enhances product documentation, marketing materials, and compliance data to maintain the highest level of transparency and trust. This commitment eliminates the need for an external assessment process, which may not add significant value beyond what Quantum already implements.
How our system works
QPID takes the CPII code for best practice on board, and provides their customer the following listing of all available product Information on its website. If a piece of literature does not have the latest ID code from this listing, it means that this piece is not the latest version and should be discarded and replaced by the correct and up to date version.
Any document regarding a Quantum product that comes from a website not related directly to Quantum is not controlled by QPID.
The directory is available here
All codes are generated to the following rules
| F- | 0023 | /#03 | /2021-08 |
| Brand Category | Continuous Numbering | Issue Number | Release Date |
| QPSL | 0001 | #1 | 20xx-xx |
| Flooring | 0002 | #2 | 20xx-xx |
| Dacatie | 0003 | #1 | 20xx-xx |
| Qwood | 0004 | #5 | 20xx-xx |
| Q-Lean | 0005 | #2 | 20xx-xx |
Conclusion
Quantum fully supports the principles of clear, accurate, and trustworthy product information. However, rather than subscribing to the CCPI framework, the company will maintain its own QPID to ensure maximum control, responsiveness, and relevance in product documentation. This approach will allow Quantum to uphold the highest industry standards while providing clients and specifiers with immediate access to the most accurate and up-to-date product information available.
Quantum’s webpage is the true/up-to-date source for any product data and never a buying portal or a distributors webpage. We encourage all our partners to only link to Quantum’s webpage and we try to prevent providing supplier PDFs which always will run into the trap of becoming out dated.
By choosing this path, Quantum remains committed to transparency, quality, and excellence through QPID – without the need for external validation costs that may not directly benefit its products or customers.
