Quantum Flooring Accessories offers a high-performance PVC weld rod designed to create a watertight, hygienic seal between the foot of set-in skirtings and vinyl floorcoverings (as well as vinyl to vinyl welding).

This reliable system starts with the installation of the set-in skirting. The vinyl flooring is then trimmed to form a butt joint against the foot of the skirting. A 4mm weld rod is hot-welded into the joint and neatly trimmed to form a permanent, waterproof seal.

By sealing the floor-to-wall junction, the weld rod effectively prevents water ingress and inhibits bacterial growth, making it the ideal solution for hygiene-critical environments such as:
