An Environmental Product Declaration, or EPD, is a document which transparently communicates the environmental performance or impact of any product or material over its lifetime. Within the building product industry, EPDs support carbon emission reduction by making it possible to compare the impacts of different materials and products to select the most sustainable option. An EPD is usually valid for five years and is generated according to the relevant standards. Construction EPDs are based on the ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14025, EN 15804 or ISO 21930 standards. EPDs help to achieve EPD and LCA credits in certification schemes, like LEED, BREEAM and others.

EPDs for the products of Quantum Flooring Accessories are not available. However, the company is committed to sustainable processes through its Environmental Management System backed by ISO 14001 accreditation. The products of Quantum Flooring Solutions incorporate the materials of aluminium, PVC and uPVC.

• Aluminium (stair nosing carriers) can be recycled after use.
• PVC and uPVC – Manufacturing waste is fully reclaimed and recycled, and end of life material can be reclaimed, recycled or incinerated responsibly

Quantum Flooring do not currently have any EPDs for any products – however – this is continually under review.
