INSULATED FRAME FORMER
Dacatie Frame Formers are suitable for use with all window and door frames, including timber, uPVC and aluminium. Available for cavity widths of 100-150mm. The Frame Former consists of a rigid uPVC profile containing EPS insulation forming a continuous insulated cavity closer around door and window openings, preventing cold bridging. A fully insulated cavity closer made up into a sturdy, factory built frame former saves time by eliminating the need for site fabricated timber templates around window and door reveals.
• A versatile insulated frame former profile for cavities between 125 and 150 mm (5 mm increments).
• For first fix applications.
• Effective as a vertical and horizontal damp-proof barrier.
• Reduces condensation, complies with the minimum temperature factor requirement according to BRE IP 1/06 of ≥ 0.75 for dwellings.
• Saves time on site.
• Can be manufactured with welded corners or using corner brackets.
• Accepts all window and door materials, in brick & block and timber frame construction.
• Complies with Part L Building Regulations when the window is installed with a 30 mm min. set back.
• Reduces risk of condensation, mould and moisture migration across the cavity and acts as a DPC.
