NEW VANS TO SUPPORT GROWTH

New MAN trucks added to delivery fleet for even greater service. Two new MAN TG 15 ton rigid trucks have arrived at QPSL. They have been added to the company’s distribution resources to help meet the demand for rapid and prompt service to distributors and contractors around the UK.

An additional 1 tonne pay-load means the QPSL fleet can now deliver more goods in one drop. With a 5% improvement in fuel efficiency from the MAND08 Euro 06 engine greater UK coverage is achieved without the need for refuelling away from base. Reduced CO2 emissions are also a positive environmental feature of these trucks – helping to keep the carbon foot-print as low as possible.

Advanced safety systems are a feature of the vehicles. Automatic anticipation electronic braking (backed up by primary and secondary retarders) is standard. Tyre pressure monitoring and digital axel loading keep the driver informed of any day-to-day elements that could be a problem. An on-line MAN tracker system helps the driver and protects the vehicles with the transmission of regular performance data.

Long distances or delays on motorways are part of a truck drivers life. The truck cab is their office and home away from home, so comfort and safety are important to them. The new QPSL MAN TG trucks have cabs that are spacious with sleeping sections for the overnight, or essential tacho-graph, stops.

Up-to date satellite navigation equipment helps the QPSL drivers to take the most efficient route to their delivery destination – whatever the traffic conditions. Bluetooth connectivity to mobile communication equipment means they are always in touch – important when the inevitable schedule has to change.

Decked in smart new QPSL branded livery the new trucks are here to help maintain the high levels of service that customers expect.
