A development of 9 houses in the Swansea area was being built. The development was being constructed using a check reveal with a 130mm cavity. The situation being that the contractor wanted to ensure that the rebate on the jambs were 25mm and that it also gave a “stop” position for the bricklayer to work too and that it did not caused any issues with the PVC windows. This required some form of up stand to meet this measurement and act also as a Damp Proof Course between the window and the external skin. The cill section was required to be of standard in line construction.
