These standards cover the full lifecycle of a building, from design and construction through to maintenance and operation.<\/p>\n<p>Today, LEED is one of the most widely used green building certification programmes worldwide. Although LEED and BREEAM differ in structure and assessment criteria, both systems share the same objective: to promote environmentally responsible and sustainable practices in new-build and refurbishment projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do individual products contribute directly to LEED or BREEAM credits?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Building Research Establishment (BRE), individual components\u2014such as cavity closers are not typically assessed in isolation under BREEAM and do not independently gain credits within the Green Guide to Specification. This is because BREEAM and LEED assess the sustainability performance of a building as a whole, rather than individual products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How does the brand support sustainable construction?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite this, specifiers and contractors are increasingly prioritising environmentally responsible product choices as part of a wider commitment to sustainable construction.
